Nannie’s Spaghetti Sauce

The spareribs add a slight twist to the ground beef versions.

Ingredients

  • 2-3lbs Pork Spareribs
  • Onion
  • Garlic fresh 4-5 cloves
  • 8 small cans of Contadina Spaghetti Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. Italian Seasoning
  • 1 Tbsp. Fennel Seasoning (if you don’t include Italian Sausage with the spareribs)
  • 1 Bay Leaf

Directions

  1. Sauté spareribs, onion and garlic in large pot. (Do not scorch garlic) Drain off fat
  2. Add tomato sauce
  3. Add rest of spices
  4. Let simmer for at least 4 hours (she always cooked it overnight)
  5. When sauce is almost done add a little more fennel, Italian seasoning and garlic. If you feel that sauce is a little tart add a half tsp. sugar
