Smoked Ham

Ingredients

  • 1 precooked ham, spiral cut (hickory smoked, if possible, but not mandatory)
  • ~3/4 cup of your favorite BBQ rub
  • Honey or BBQ sauce (optional)

Directions

  1. Pour a liberal amount of prepared yellow mustard over the ham
  2. Apply BBQ rub onto the ham making a paste (don’t forget the flat side)
  3. Put ham in smoker with ~3 oz. of hickory wood
  4. Smoke at 230 degrees F for 3 hrs.
  5. (Optional) If desired, apply BBQ sauce or Honey approximately 2.5 hours into the smoke to give a shiny glazed look and a bit more flavor
