Cranberry Sauce

One batch (makes 2 ½ cups)

Ingredients

  • 1 12 oz bag of cranberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp allspice
  • 1/4 ground cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp orange juice

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Combine cranberries, sugar, cinnamon, allspice in a baking dish. Cover and back until sugar melts and mixture bubbles, stirring once (about 55 mins).
  3. Uncover and bake until liquid is syrupy (about 10 mins).
  4. Remove from oven. Immediately add orange juice and stir. Let cool to room temperature.
  5. Cover and refrigerate at least one hour before serving.

Note: Can be made up to 4 days ahead of time.

Optional: Add a bit more cinnamon, dried orange peel or a dash of nutmeg.
