Sugar Cookies

Ingredients:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp cream of tartar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp soda
- 2 cups flour

Frosting:
- 1 cup sifted powder sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- Add 1 tsp water or 1 /2 Tbsp cream

Directions:
1. Bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes
